Unfortunately, my experience with Total Comfort has been disappointing. I called at 4:33 p.m. on Thursday 8/27 and was told that service had been scheduled for first thing Friday morning. When I called at 8:00 a.m. Friday for an estimated arrival time, I was informed that there was no record of my original call. The appointment was then rescheduled for between 2:00 and 5:00 p.m., but the technician did not arrive until 6:00 p.m. He determined that the motor in my air-conditioning unit had burned out and needed to be ordered. Because it was already after business hours, I was told the order could not be placed until Monday and that the part could then take up to seven days to arrive. I understand that ordering a part takes time. However, if my original call had been properly documented and the technician had arrived during the promised timeframe, the part could have been ordered on Friday. Instead, because of multiple scheduling failures and delays, my family is now left sitting in a 90-degree house for the entire weekend—and potentially much longer. This situation could have been avoided with better communication, proper recordkeeping, and timely service. In addition, I have now spent almost $400 on a portable ac unit to help us get through. An unexpected added expense on top of the repair cost.
Had a nice young man named Josh that was here to do maintenance. Pleasant, knowledgeable, early, informative … all the things you are looking for when you have maintenance on your A/C in Florida, no matter the time of year. I have been doing business with Total Comfort for years and will continue using them. I have never been disappointed or overcharged.
Joe from formerly Von-Aire, now Comfort Air, was fabulous performing maintenance on our systems. Professional and polite. Always a good guy. The office, on the other hand, needs help scheduling and reminding the correct info on the appointment. Josh from 2-4 pm became Joe calling at 11:15 am on his way…. Love both technicians. They go where they are instructed to go.
Total Comfort was able to send technician Jesse out the same day to do service when A/C down. He was very professional, efficient and knowledgeable and able to quickly diagnose and fix the issue. I have been using this company for last 7+ years, would highly recommend.
Dan came to our house to give us a quote on a new ac system. He was easy to talk to, very professional, gave us 4 quotes and said, "If you need some time to think about it, my number is down here at the bottom. Let me know if I can help you." We know he's been doing this at least 18 years because his name is on our old unit from 18 years ago. My point is, he know his products, and is confident enough in them and in their pricing, he didn't have to try and "sell" us something. ...And thus, he sold us something.
